Arrowhead’s Creative Director, Johan Pilestedt, recently revealed on social media that the studio is already working on a new game.\r\nWith Helldivers 2 (which you can find on Amazon) proving to be an absolute success, now it seems we look to the future.\r\nPilestedt has also used the end of the year to underline that all the video games developed by his studio will always have fun first.\r\nIn a post on X (via VGC), Pilestedt asked a pretty clear question to his community: \r\n\r\n«10 minutes into 2025, what are your expectations and desires for the next Arrowhead game? \r\nI’m working on the main concept, but I’d like to hear your speculations.»\r\n\r\nAfter the launch and great success of Helldivers 2 last year, Arrowhead has continued to improve and update the game, supporting it like a live service (but with additions of a certain weight, like the Killzone 2 skins). \r\nPilestedt even suggested that the game could evolve over time to effectively become Helldivers 3.\r\nThe goal appears to be to create an ever-expanding experience for players.\r\nLaunched under publication by Sony, Helldivers 2 has actually broken various records, becoming the game with the fastest launch on PlayStation, with 12 million copies sold in 12 weeks between PC and PS5. \r\nArrowhead is an independent studio based in Stockholm, Sweden, which already has some successes under its belt such as Magicka, The Showdown Effect for Paradox, Gauntlet for Warner Bros, Interactive, and the original Helldivers.\r\nThe future of Helldivers 2 still seems to be growing, but the question that arises now is: what will be the next step for Arrowhead and its next project? At the moment I can’t answer. In the meantime, catch up on my review of the game, which isn’t bad.
