The Palworld community manager to the players: “can we stop making everything a drama?”

The nominations for The Game Awards 2024 were announced this week and fans of Palworld, the curious and much talked about mix between Pokémon and firearms, did not take the game’s absence from the list well.\r\nReleased last January, Palworld had surprised many with a success beyond expectations, both in terms of popularity and reception. Despite this, the game did not obtain any nominations, not even in categories such as Best ongoing game, and this according to some fans who expressed themselves on social media would be “a great injustice”, to the point that for some the critics who made the nominations He wanted to distance himself from the game while the lawsuit with Nintendo rages on.\r\nFortunately, not everyone shares this opinion. John Buckley, Palworld community manager for the Pocketpair team, expressed his point of view on Twitter, downplaying the issue and advising players to not make a case out of anything. \r\n”No, I don’t think Palworld has been ignored,” he wrote, criticizing the dramatic tone that often characterizes debates on social media. «Twitter has become a place devoid of irony. Stop being so dramatic, gamers. Not everything is a conspiracy”.\r\nA comment that points the finger at the continuous social exasperations of any discussion, where every slightest diatribe can become a war of insults or the rush to a conspiracy.\r\nBuckley, however, has took the opportunity to launch a provocation on another game that he considers undervalued, and which in turn did not appear in any of the TGA nominations.\r\nHe in fact underlined how Satisfactory «was at the 1000% ignored”, promising to assert this opinion also during the ceremony, where he will evidently be present in person. \r\nMeanwhile, the Palworld developers are facing much bigger problems. In September, Nintendo filed a lawsuit against the studio for alleged patent infringement.\r\nJust a few weeks ago, Pocketpair provided an update on the case, explaining which patents are at the center of the dispute and reiterating its intention to defend its position in the competent legal offices.\r\nWe remind you that, while waiting for the awards ceremony, you can find out everything about The Game Awards by visiting our hub.
