Nintendo Switch 2 could be on the verge of redefining what an “epochal launch” means.\r\nThe increasingly insistent rumors speak of a quantity of units ready for day one in the United States 2.5 times higher than what was done for the first Switch (which you can find on Amazon). \r\nAs also reported by Wccftech, if this prediction turns out to be well founded, we are talking about a number between 6.5 and 7 million units distributed globally at launch.\r\nA result that, in the history of video games, has well few precedents. These rumors come from sources who have already got some details right, such as the preliminary sketch of the system shared on the Famiboards forums and partially confirmed by known insiders.\r\nObviously, it’s right to take everything with a grain of salt. But if there is a company that has demonstrated its ability to orchestrate major events, it is Nintendo.  \r\nThe early mass production is no coincidence: the memories of the endless queues and limited stocks of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series market, aims to avoid similar problems.\r\nThere had already been talk of 10 million units for the first fiscal year: numbers which, with these premises, no longer seem so far-fetched.  \r\nThe new Switch, in addition to promising backward compatibility – a detail that alone has the potential to make millions of fans dream – could exploit this abundance of available hardware to do what only Nintendo does really well: create mass phenomena.\ r\nIt’s the charm of consoles that become cult objects, as happened with Wii and, indeed, the first Switch.  \r\nMoreover, Nintendo has also lowered sales expectations for Switch in the final months of the year, aware that everyone now has their eyes on Switch 2.\r\nSticking on the topic, several weeks ago I reported another rumor, relating to the alleged colors of the console.
