Resident Evil Village, are you sure you say “Lady Dimitrescu”?

Resident Evil Village is now close to release, scheduled for May 7 on old-gen consoles , next-gen, PC and, for the first time, also on Google Stadia.

The latest episode of Capcom’s survival horror series is about to return to the public again, following the January demo, in a new demo version that will be made available for a limited time.

In this new chapter, set a few years after the events of the previous game, we will see the return of Ethan Winters , protagonist of Resident Evil 7 , and Chris Redfield, historical character of the saga.

Starting from the reveal, the character of Alcina Dimitrescu , the very tall vampire born from the imagination of the art director, thought to particularly impress the public Tomonori Takano who has been able to gain the attention of fans since her first appearance.

Journalist Brittney Brombacher returned to talk about the titanic dark lady on the occasion of the April showcase, confessing that she wouldn’t like to have tea with her.

Listening to Brombacher’s words, the pronunciation sounds immediately different from the usual one and would suggest an “Americanized” version of the surname.

Many asked the journalist for clarification, who confirmed the correctness of what was said in the video : the correct pronunciation is Dimitreesk and not “Dimitrescu”.

It would have been Capcom herself to instruct her on how to pronounce the character’s surname correctly , and to have approved the video you just watched.

This is curious news when we consider the fact that, being a surname of Romanian origin, the final vowel should be heard loud and clear just like it does here.

Survival horror has a fictional setting but, as was leaked since the announcement, it is inspired by Eastern Europe, so this pronunciation is quite surprising.

Resident Evil Village was at the center of an interesting comparative video between PS5, PS4 Pro and PS4 that shows the performance differences of the playable demo on the three Sony platforms, resulting more than appreciable on both generations.

After the announcement of a “remake” of Resident Evil 4 , fans are now ready to immerse themselves, controller in hand, in the awaited sequel to the saga created in 1996 by Shinji Mikami and Tokuro Fujiwara .

While waiting for the launch, we recommend that you take a look at the demo dates to avoid missing out on the latest updates on the Capcom title.

You still have time to book Resident Evil Village taking advantage of the Amazon price.
