James Stevenson, community director of Insomniac Games, revealed that it was the American studio that proposed a video game starring Spider-Man.
Originally, according to this background, it was Sony who offered the opportunity to work on a Marvel superhero, but leaving great freedom about the choice on which this character should have been.
“Sony came to us and asked if we wanted to work with Marvel,” Stevenson explained on the ResetEra forum.
“Sony and Marvel let us decide on which character / universe we wanted to base a game in. We chose Spider-Man”
The new title of Spider-Man, an exclusive PS4, is coming in 2018 and not surprisingly a post on the PlayStation Blog has listed among the titles to watch out for this year.
