Spencer speaks of the absence of the split-screen in Halo 5: Guardians

Phil Spencer, leader of the Xbox division of Microsoft, gave an interview to GameSpot, during which he also discussed the absence of co-op split-screen in Halo 5: Guardians. One of the main reasons that led to this decision was the fact that the vast majority of Xbox One would be used to play co-op online, rather than locally. "In the end, the team takingdecisions based on the level at which they want to go, when it comes to think of the complexity of the work to equip. We realized the strength that today is represented by Xbox Live, with so many people playing on it. […] We are aware that it is the vast majority of cooperative play. "Do you agree? You prefer to play co-op locally or online? Please remember that Halo 5: Guardians will debut exclusively on Xbox One on October 27th . Forfurther details, we refer to our dedicated preview.
